I only take up to 4 sessions per month, so I usually book around 2-4 months in advance. Since my sessions are booked and serviced very differently than most, they have a higher demand. We first start with a consultation where you select the month you would like the session, complete the retainer and then we start planning your session but still pencil in a date. As it gets closer for outdoor sessions we check weather and sunset times for a solid schedule. For newborns I usually do the session around 10-21 days after delivery- this way you have time to settle in at home, have a feeding schedule, and complete a pediatrician visit.

I have trained under several mentors specializing in newborn, family and wedding photographers. Being in the professional photography industry since 2013, my experience and safe newborn posing training partnered with continuing education courses every year, your newborn and family is in safe and caring hands.

The session fee covers time, training, travel* and talent of the photographer. Image packages are selected and paid for at the ordering appointment after the session. There is no ordering minimum.

Digital copies are given with your purchased printed images at no additional cost. If you are looking for Digitals only, this is an option, however most fall in love with the printed artwork!

I photograph with Canon and a variety of lenses. For newborn sessions I use an 86' Einstein flash unit.
Since newborn sessions are in your home, I usually request a 7x5 space minimum in a dark but warm area. I use only the best materials for newborns and the softest quality that are meant for photography. The drops used are boutique quality! All of my props are hand made by specialized vendors as well.

A typical family or maternity session is 1 hour. Multiple locations require more time which is definitely an option to add to your package!

Newborn sessions are around 3-4 hours from setup to clean up. This gives the baby time to nurse/feed, change, and safely pose without pressure. There are poses in which some newborns are not easily placed and sometimes we have to retry the pose later in the session or are not able to achieve. Safety is ALWAYS my top priority!

I do request 48 hours notice to reschedule, however I understand things happen! I do not charge a fee to reschedule one time. If it is a Maternity or Newborn session needing to be rescheduled, please let me know ASAP so we keep it as close to the original date planned as possible.
